*Sunday’s Devotion

It is God who avenges me,
And subdues the peoples under me;
(Psalm 18:47 NKJV)

PSALM 18 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: God pays you back—you don’t have to worry about it. If someone has wronged you, taken advantage of you, manipulated you, coerced you, took your kindness for weakness, your generosity as a weakness, tried to drown you out, tuned you out—caused your light to be dimmed. Don’t worry about it. God says “I pay back.” And not only that, but David reminds us in this text that God rescues us from our enemies. That means no matter what it looks like—it may even look as though your enemies are winning, but guess what? God rescues you from your enemies. So, hold your head up today. Remember, God is the lover of your soul and the lifter of your head. He is going to pay you back and rescue you from your enemies. Be encouraged today.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I commit this day, this year to You. Please guide my steps and open my eyes to see things I cannot see. Show me Your purpose and help me to trust in Your wisdom as you lead me forward. Shape my heart, mind, and character to become the person you want me to be. Let my life reflect Your love and grace in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
