All of these likes, follows or not…
God’s word is true; ev’ry tittle, ev’ry jot

The Word is written for you to know
On which path to take and which way to go

All things good may not be pleasant at first…
But is for you to learn from ev’ry line and ev’ry verse

Line upon line, precept upon precept
Minuses from iniquity—only goodness is left

For wisdom, you see, is the principal part
Meditate on these things—always take them to heart

And in all your getting, get an understanding, please
Not talking about secular educations or degrees

So even if you don’t like what is written, my friend
You will be glad you learned it all in the end.
