Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” (Genesis 28:15 NKJV)

GENESIS 28 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: In this text God promised to be with Jacob wherever he went and to protect him until His word to Jacob was fulfilled. This promise is not only for Jacob but also for us today.

Sometimes life’s challenges can seem overwhelming. It gives us the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness. In those crisis situations we may feel abandoned and alone. But the good news is that this scripture is an eternal reminder that God is always with us no matter where we go or what we face. The same God that walked with Jacob promises to walk with us today. (Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV)

God’s promise of hope and protection gives us hope and peace in the midst of lifes’ storms. When we trust in Him we can face life’s challenges with confidence knowing that He is with us. In times of trouble it is easy to forget God’s promises and to forget His faithfulness. But as believers we need to hold onto His promises and trust him to keep His word. Taking comfort in knowing that we serve a God who is faithful to His precious promises. For He is always with us—protecting us and guiding us on this journey of life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your promise of protection. Help us to hold onto Your promises in times of trouble and to always trust in your faithfulness. Please give us the strength and courage to face life’s challenges knowing that You are with us every step of the way. Guide us, protect us, and lead us to Your promised land. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
