Prayer Against Loneliness

Some very close friends and I were having a conversation yesterday. Somehow, we crossed the subject of desperation. This emotion will cause us to get out of line with God’s word if we are not built and established on His word. It will cause you to question your self-worth and devalue who you are in Him, lulling you into a sense of insecurity. This is why it is so important to know who you are. For those who are on the road of discovering who they are in God, may this prayer help you along the way…

Dear Lord, this year I do not want to enter any relationship or plan in my life, especially if it is not sent from You. Not because I am growing bitter or self-centered, but I now understand that genuineness is intentional. Genuine people do things because they want to out of love and kindness. I shouldn’t have to force anything while searching for the love that I can receive directly from You. I’ve learned that I can love and pray for others from a distance. I will no longer force anything because I don’t have to. Please remind me, even on my loneliest days, I don’t have to choose those who don’t choose me. You choose me, and that is all that I need. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Ephesians 1:3-6 NKJV)
