With everything that’s going on today, it is so easy to become distracted in the twinkling of an eye. I know, it has happened to me on more than one occasion. And somewhere along the line, I remind myself of what I am supposed to be doing as opposed to where I’m at that particular moment.
The Internet poses so many distractions—it is everywhere…On your cellphone, tablet, laptop, PC, and even television. We must be reminded that time is a commodity you cannot get back—once spent, it is gone for all eternity, and each day brings you closer to the reality of your own mortality.
Therefore, we must make each moment count. And it is paramount that you maintain your focus to accomplish that. Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you. (Proverbs 4:25 NKJV) If you’ve ever observed a horse race, you will notice the horse wearing blinders to keep him focused straight ahead.

Similarly, we must do the same and take the advice of the Apostle Paul, keeping our eyes on the prize, which is not only to see our destinies complete, but also to successfully finish this race of life. (Philippians 3:14 KJV)
Here’s a prayer we found on Instagram…And always remember. It is not the quantity of the words you pray, but the quality of the words you pray from your heart…
Oh Lord:
Please guard my soul from pride, my heart from callousness, and my mind from too much focus on unimportant things, and not enough on Your things. Teach me in my heart what it means to be about my Father’s business, especially in the world of my thoughts! Lord, please help me to be present and mindful, to stay grounded in the moment and focused on my task. Grant me clarity and concentration, and may I be able to tune out distractions and give my full attention to what You would have me do. In the name of Jesus, my greatest example of One who knew and lived Your will, I pray. Amen.
May the Blessings of the LORD be with you today and always. Thank you for your continued readership and support. Until next week….Blessings and Peace!
