How To Find Continuity

In Your Storyline

Have you ever found yourself in this frustrating situation? You have all the pieces of the puzzle laid out in front of you – the characters, the plot, the summary – but for some reason, you just can’t seem to bring it all together. It’s like trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube with one side missing. So, what do you do when your idea feels like a side character without a storyline?

First and foremost, don’t panic. This is a common struggle that many writers face at some point in their creative journey. The key is not to give up but to approach the problem with a fresh perspective. Take a step back and reassess your story. Are there any missing pieces that need to be filled in? Is there a disconnect between your characters and the plot? Sometimes, all it takes is a little tweaking here and there to make everything click into place.

Another strategy is to brainstorm with a fellow writer or a trusted friend. Sometimes, an outside perspective can provide valuable insights and help you see your story in a new light. Don’t be afraid to bounce ideas off of someone else and see where it takes you. Collaboration can often lead to unexpected and exciting developments in your story.

If you’re still feeling stuck, try taking a break from your project and focusing on something else for a while. Sometimes, stepping away and giving your mind a chance to rest can do wonders for your creativity. Take a walk, read a book, watch a movie – anything that will give your brain a chance to recharge.

Ultimately, the key is to stay persistent and not let the frustration get the best of you. Remember, every great story goes through its share of ups and downs before reaching its full potential. So, keep pushing forward, keep experimenting, and keep believing in the power of your imagination. Your idea may feel like a side character now, but with a little perseverance and a lot of creativity, it can transform into the main protagonist of your story.

  1. I needed this encouragement today, not so much for writing blogs, but dealing with the dumb blocks WP makes us use! Finding how to rearrange my Theme is such a headache… especially when I try to use their idiot AI Support ASSistant!😏 The icons are all over the place and counter-intuitive.
    Thanx for keeping me grounded.😉

      1. Urbem. But the happiness engineers are helping more than not; sometimes it’s just me- I’ll do something and then not remember how to do it again.🥴

      2. Add me in as a user and maybe I can get in and do something It won’t let me preview and customize the template from my side. Once you start doing things you might want to make notes so that you’ll have reminders on the basic functions.
