*Sunday’s Devotion

Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more. (Psalm 10: 17-18 NKJV)

PSALM 10 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought for the Week: In a world filled with noise and chaos, the quiet cry of the humble reaches the throne of grace. Our Lord, in His infinite mercy, has heard the desire of the humble heart. He promises to prepare their hearts and incline His ear to their plea. This is not just comfort; it is divine assurance that justice is in His hands.

God’s heart beats for justice. He calls His people to reflect His concern by advocating for the fatherless and the oppressed. Our faith compels us to act, standing against injustice, speaking up for the voiceless, and seeking to restore what has been broken.

The ultimate purpose of God’s justice is liberation. When He intervenes, oppression ceases. The man of the earth will no longer oppress, because divine justice restores dignity, peace, and righteousness. This is the hope we cling to: that God’s justice will prevail, and oppression will be defeated.

The Lord’s ears are open to our cries. His heart is set on justice for the fatherless and oppressed. As His children, we are called to trust His timing and to act with compassion. In doing so, we participate in His divine plan—bringing hope and righteousness to a hurting world.

Prayer: Father, You, Lord, are the One who prepares the hearts of Your children. When we come before You with humility, You shape us. You soften our hearts to Your will, aligning our desires with Your righteous purpose. Teach us to remain receptive to Your guidance, so that justice may flow from hearts transformed by Your love. Help us to be instruments of Your mercy. Open our eyes to injustice, stir our hearts to compassion, and empower us to act—so that Your kingdom of righteousness may come on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, amen.
