Guest Poet Keith Rawlinson
A joy for no real reason, at least none of which I know.
It started as a seed of warmth and then began to grow.
It began way deep inside my soul and worked its way on out;
I’ll enjoy this peace within, and I don’t care what it’s about.
Some days I don’t feel it, It’s like it isn’t there,
but it turns out that it’s still inside and I’m just not aware.
A joy that gives me comfort; a joy that gives me hope.
It guides me through hard times in life and gives me strength to cope.
The more I give it thought, the more I think it through,
this joy is always with me and is really nothing new.
It seems the more I contemplate, I come to understand,
that this joy is helping me through life; it leads me by the hand.
I now know that I’ll have this joy from now until the End
It’s joy bestowed by Jesus Christ, my Savior and my Friend.
