*Sunday’s Devotion

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. (Deuteronomy 10:17 NKJV)

DEUTERONOMY 10 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: This text reveals that the Lord is the supreme “God of gods and Lord of Lords,” emphasizing His unmatched power, might, and authority. It highlights that this divine power is incorruptible, as God shows no partiality and accepts no bribes, a stark contrast to human leaders and a call to have a reverent and obedient fear of Him. This is a powerful truth that demonstrates His perfect character, which should lead us to a more devoted and reverent life of faith, as we understand that our devotion is to a God who is utterly just and good.  It’s about a deep respect for God that changes how we live and act in the world.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we stand in awe of Your greatness and Your perfect justice. Help us to live with a reverent fear of You, trusting in Your complete power and integrity. Open our hearts to show compassion and love to all people, reflecting Your impartiality in our own lives and actions. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
