Another year has come and gone
Time to reflect on what was right
and what was wrong
Time to contemplate what to do next
Our hearts should be free and not perplexed
And in the next, make sure God is in your plans
For He is the One Who always lends a helping hand
When times are hard and your spirit is weary
He is the One Who keeps your mind from being leery…
Of the things He has ascribed for you to do
So that you may become a better you
As you step out of the old and into the new
Have you really become a better you?
If the answer is no, are you still in derision?
If so, keep praying and ask God for clearer vision.
If the answer is yes, then press on, my friend
And this battle you face, with God you will surely win.
