*Sunday’s Devotion

“The Redeemer will come to Zion,
And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,”
Says the Lord.
(Isaiah 59:20 NKJV)

ISAIAH 59 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: The promise of a Redeemer is one of the most comforting assurances in Scripture. Yet, this promise comes with a profound invitation. God does not just enter our world to look past our brokenness. He comes to rescue us from it. Isaiah reminds us that the Redeemer arrives for those who “turn from transgression.”

True transformation begins with repentance. Repentance is not about drowning in guilt or earning God’s favor through perfection. It is a change of direction. It is the moment you decide to stop walking away from God and start walking toward Him.

When you turn away from the habits, thoughts, and attitudes that hold you captive, you are not stepping into a void. You are stepping directly into the path of the Redeemer. He meets you right where you turn. Today, remember that your past mistakes do not disqualify you from His grace. Your willingness to turn back to Him is the very thing that opens the door to His redeeming power.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my Redeemer. Forgive me for the times I have wandered down my own paths. Today, I choose to turn away from my shortcomings and turn fully toward You. Fill my heart with Your peace, renew my strength, and guide my steps as I walk in Your grace. Amen.
