“It shall come to pass
That before they call, I will answer;
And while they are still speaking, I will hear. (Isaiah 65:24 NKJV)
Thought for the Week: Have you ever felt like your prayers were just bouncing off the ceiling? In moments of weariness or waiting, it is incredibly easy to wonder if God hears you at all. Yet, in this text, God offers us a glimpse into His heart of tender attentiveness: “Before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
Think about a loving parent with their child. The parent knows their child’s needs so well that they often anticipate those cries before the child even makes a sound. Our Heavenly Father knows us infinitely better. He is not a distant deity waiting to be persuaded; He is a responsive Father whose heart is already inclined toward you.
You don’t need to use perfect words or present a flawless presentation to get His attention—you already have it. He knows the unspoken aches of your heart, the silent anxieties, and the secret dreams. And the moment you come to Him, He is already there, listening and preparing the answer.
Today, let this truth strip away the anxiety in your prayers. You are never unheard, and you are never forgotten. Rest in the comfort that God transcends your timeline, seeing past, present, and future all at once. When you bow your head, know that the Creator of the universe is leaning in close, hearing you while you are still speaking, and answering with grace perfectly suited to your need.
Reflect & Pray
Prayer: Lord, thank You for knowing me so completely and loving me so deeply. Thank You that I already have Your full attention when I pray. Help me to trust Your wisdom and timing, knowing You hear me even before I speak. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
