Can you believe there are only 178 days left in this year? Today has some 18 celebratory days which include… George Town Heritage Day in Penang, National Deck Day, National Dive Bar Day, National Dora Day, National Father Daughter Take a Walk Day, National Koi Day, Saba Saba Day, Solomon Islands Independence Day, Star Festival, Tanabata, Tell the Truth Day, and Unity Day Zambia.
For the food connesieur there is National Macaroni Day, National Strawberry Sundae Day, and World Chocolate Day.
And in these days and times when we need unity and strength we celebrate, International Peace & Love Day, and National Father Daughter Take a Walk Day.

Which leads us to Global Forgiveness Day encourages individuals and communities to set aside resentments, repair strained relationships, and practice forgiveness.Established in 1994 by the Christian Embassy of Christ’s Ambassadors, it serves as a worldwide invitation to unburden the heart and prioritize mental and physical well-being.The founders established the day to counter global conflict by encouraging people to replace malice and thoughts of retribution with empathy, understanding, and a willingness to offer or receive apologies.

Global Forgiveness Day acts as an annual reminder that letting go of past hurts does not mean condoning an offense; rather, it is a conscious decision to move past the pain and foster a more compassionate, peaceful world. As we observe Global Forgiveness Day, may we remember that forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves and to others. Choosing to forgive is not a sign of weakness but of courage, grace, and hope. When we release bitterness and embrace compassion, we make room for healing, restored relationships, and lasting peace. May this day inspire us to extend the same mercy that we have received and to become instruments of reconciliation in our homes, communities, and throughout the world.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love, mercy, and forgiveness. Help us to let go of bitterness, forgive as You have forgiven us, and fill our hearts with peace, compassion, and grace. May we be instruments of Your love and reconciliation each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
