The other day I read on Facebook, “I did not anoint you for approval—I anointed you for purpose, impact, and destiny. Walk boldly in what I have called you to do.”

That struck a chord in me because I believe that sometimes we forget who we’re trying to please. It’s easy to get caught up in seeking validation, worrying about what people think, or measuring our worth by likes, applause, or acceptance. But none of those things determine our calling.

When God gives us a purpose, He doesn’t wait for everyone else to agree with it. (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV) Everybody didn’t agree with Jesus, yet He completed His mission. Some people will understand your assignment, and others won’t. Some will cheer you on, while others may question your decisions. Neither changes what God has spoken over your life. (Isaiah 55:11 NKJV)

Walking in purpose requires courage. It means trusting God’s direction even when the path is unfamiliar or unpopular. It means staying faithful when recognition is absent and continuing to serve when no one is watching.

We were never called to live for people’s approval. We were called to make an impact, to use the gifts we’ve been given, and to fulfill the destiny God has prepared for us. Approval fades, but purpose endures.

So if you’ve been waiting for permission, affirmation, or acceptance before taking your next step, remember this: God’s anointing is already enough. Walk boldly, trust Him completely, and let your life reflect the purpose He placed within you from the very beginning. For He alone already knows the path to your destiny. (Isaiah 46:10 NKJV)
