Well, readers, the end of the month is just one day away. Trying to see what today, the 30th day of June, has to say. Feels like time is in some kind of vacuum. Perhaps there is some truth in the older you get—the faster time passes. I remember momma telling me when I was younger—I’d say “I’ll be so glad when Friday gets here.” She’d say, “Stop rushing your life away.” This is one sobering fact—none of us are getting any younger, so we really need to make good use of whatever time we have. While you’re globetrotting help us celebrate International Day of Friendship a global observance held every July 30 to promote preace, unity, and cultural diversity. First proposed on 1958 in Paraguay by Dr. Ramón Artemio Bracho during a gathering with friends. Proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly (un.org) in 2011, the day highlights how connections between people and countries can build bridges and inspire a more peaceful world.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of another day and for the time You have entrusted to us. Remind us that our days are precious and help us not to rush through life or put off the good You have called us to do. Grant us wisdom to make the most of every opportunity, loving You and serving others with grateful hearts. Today, we also thank You for the blessing of friendship. Help us to be peacemakers who build bridges of kindness, compassion, and understanding in our families, communities, and throughout the world. May Your love shine through us as we encourage one another and reflect the hope found in Christ. Guide our steps, redeem our time, and help us live each day in a way that honors You.
