Well, another chapter of time has come to a close. The last day of the month is here. It seems like the 4th was just here, and nevertheless, time is still marching on. We end this month on a Friday. A day those of us who work are glad to see. And in my case, those four ten-hour days are behind me, and not only is this my Saturday but also the start of my vacation. Whoooo!!!

Hawaii, the 50th state of the United States, begins celebrating Hawaii Flag Day (Lā Hae Hawaiʻi) annually on this day to honor the history, design, and meaning of the Hawaiian flag. The observance coincides with Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea (Sovereignty Restoration Day), commemorating the 1843 date when the Hawaiian Kingdom’s independence was restored. Heavenly Father, thank You for carrying us through another month. As July comes to a close, fill our hearts with gratitude, renew our strength, and guide our steps into the days ahead. May we honor You in all we do and trust Your perfect plan. Today, we also remember those who stood courageously for freedom and justice, and we give thanks for people who have faithfully served others in ways both great and small.
