It’s already the middle of August. It seems the month has just begun. And in 16 more days, August will be gone. It feels as though time is about to collide with something, but I don’t know what that something is. It’s cloudy in Land O Lakes, FL today—more rain—more humidity. I must confess, it will be a breath of fresh air—no pun intended—when the first cool breeze of autumn approaches. I will probably dance as David danced! Everyone I’m talking to is saying the same thing. “I never remember it being this hot before.” We must now return to the truth—that global warming is not a fiction, but a fact.
That’s why some of us are celebrating National Creamsicle Day — so we can stay cool in this heat. Tied to the history of Frank Epperson, who invented the-ice-on-a-stick concept (the Popsicle) in 1905. It honors the classic frozen dairy treat featuring an inner core of vanilla ice cream wrapped in an outer layer of fruit-flavored sherbet or ice, with orange remaining the original and most popular flavor.

While we’re all pinching pennies when we go to the local markets, today is Shop Online for Groceries Day. Sometimes you can find good BOGOs when you buy groceries online. Shopping these days makes us budget-conscious, so in celebration of National Financial Awareness Day, which is a reminder that we should all take our financial conditions more seriously. Pinching pennies is a serious proposition these days.
Heavenly Father, as August slips quickly toward its end, remind us that every moment is held in Your hands. Through the heat, humidity, storms, and uncertainty, give us patience, wisdom, and hope. Help us care faithfully for the world You created and for one another. And when that first cool breeze of autumn arrives, may we rejoice like David danced—with grateful hearts! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Actually, while some warming may be occurring, this in neither unnatural nor manmade nor catastrophic as the climate alarmists want us to believe.
Most of the alarmism is to push specific agendas to the benefit of those screaming, “We’re all gonna die!”
Of course, we ARE, but not because of climate change!😱
