Joyful September 4!

Happy September 4 to our dear readers! Today is a beautiful Friday because God has made all things new again! Another day full of His mercies and blessings. God’s goodness is all around us. So, for those of us who are blessed to have a job and are going to work. When things get tough, the tough get going! Today, celebrate Bring Your Manners To Work Day. Bring joy, peace, and encouragement through those office doors and watch the atmosphere change!

In this atmosphere change, there are nine more celebrations today. Some of them are… Eat an Extra Dessert Day, Janmashtami, National Chianti Day, National Doodle Day, National Macadamia Nut Day, National Wildlife Day, and Umhlanga Reed Dance Day.

And the ninth celebration today is College Colors Day. Come on down! This is an annual national holiday in the U.S. where people wear apparel and colors representing their favorite college or university. Created in 2004 by the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) to promote school spirit, celebrate higher education traditions, and kick off the fall sports calendar. So please use your head for something besides a hat rack!

To round out the final ten…Let us not forget National Food Bank Day. With Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching, for all of those who can, will…Take something to your local food bank to help those who are not as fortunate to walk through your office doors or to anybody’s place of employment. Always remember those who are less fortunate. (Matthew 25:40 NKJV)

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your new mercies this morning. Help us bring joy, peace, kindness, and encouragement wherever we go. Give us hearts to serve others and remember those in need. May our words and actions reflect Your love today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
