Friday is finally here! Whoo! And for many of us working stiffs today marks a coming of freedom. For me yesterday was my Friday so my weekend starts today. Thank God!
Happiness is being able to relax longer, opening all the windows in the house and finally letting the stale air of summer out. Dare to breathe! The fresh air of Fall is my long awaited friend. I will have to write an ode to it. In the meantime let’s see how many celebrations we can find today…
There are 15 celebrations today, some of them are…Chulalongkorn Day / Piyamararaj Day, Hawke’s Bay Anniversary Day, Libya Liberation Day, National Boston Cream Pie Day, National Croc Day, National Paralegal Day, and Swallows Depart from San Juan Capistrano Day. For the complete list try on a pair of our Crocs.

After trying on a pair of our Crocs see if you can locate your old iPod and play some music. Because today is also National iPod Day. National iPod Day is celebrated every year on October 23 to commemorate the date Apple co-founder Steve Jobs first introduced the original iPod in 2001. And podcasts were born. Here’s a little trivia…Over 400 million iPod units were sold globally before Apple wound down the product line.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessings of a fresh new day, the beauty of Fall, and the joy of a little extra time to rest and recharge. Open our hearts to Your peace, fill our homes with gratitude, and help us celebrate the simple joys You place in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏
