Monday morning, was feeling great, decided to open the front door, the kitchen door, and the garage door to get rid of the stale air of summer and let the fresh air of fall filter into the house…
While standing in the back door of my kitchen, which is at the garage, my other neigbor Michelle, who lives on the right side of me, walked up the driveway somewhat in a panic saying, “I saw both doors opened and something said let me check on you and make sure you’re okay.” While eating a bowl of cereal, I assured her that I was alright.
I thanked her for her concerns and told her to be safe on the road as she drove off to work.
In my first blog post Love Thy Neighbor I talked about my neighbors on the left side; Eddie and Michelle. I find it somewhat ironic that I live between two Michelle’s. What are the odds of that? The Michelle on the left is a school teacher and the Michelle on the right is a hospice nurse.

After Michelle walked away, I begin pondering what had just happened. First of all, how blessed I was to live between two of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. Secondly, I really felt like that was a reminder from God that He’s always watching over us. And a different thankfulness filled my heart. You know that type of thankfulness for an unexpected blessing?
This writer is constantly reminded of the times we are living in and the darkness that is trying to consume us…Just turn on the television, or any social media channel and the evidence is there on display that sometimes I feel I’d never be a witness to after all past historical atrociites I’ve already seen. But in that moment of “I don’t know”, He gave me a loving reminder…
No matter what we are going through, what we think, how we might be feeling or where we live. His eyes are on the sparrow and I know he watches over us. In that moment I felt like Hagar…You are truly Jehovah Roi, the God who sees us. (Genesis 16:13 NKJV)
Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Be and stay blessed!
