Weary But Not Done

This blog post is for those who are feeling lost, confused and on the edge of throwing in the towel of their faith. I’ve been on this precipice more than once if the truth be told. But every time Jesus would throw me another lifeline. And each time He proved His precious promises.

That word “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9 KJV) Has to be part of your very being.

Some of you have been in a war ever since you came out of your mother’s womb. And you feel as though you’ve been fighting for what seems an eternity. Been going to church most of your life and no matter how hard you try to do right, how much you pray, study scriptures there is simply no relief. How do I know? Got the tee shirts and the hats hanging in my closet.

Remember what he told Peter? And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” (Luke 22:31 NKJV)

Notice he tells Peter, he had prayed for him that his faith would not fail. The battle you are in and have been in is to hold onto your faith. For without it — it is impossible to please God. If the enemy can snatch your faith…that’s a whole other level. You’ll be taking unnecessary detours in life you never knew existed!

When we read Hebrews Chapter 11, which I like to call Faith’s Hall of Fame, we see how faith has been instrumental in numerous miracles.

So, if you’re reading this and feel like giving up, let me encourage you today: DON’T YOU DARE THROW IN THE TOWEL! Your present circumstances do not cancel God’s promises. Your tears have not gone unnoticed, your prayers have not fallen on deaf ears, and your struggles have not escaped His attention. (Psalm 34:19 NKJV)

Remember, even when your strength is gone, His grace is still sufficient. You may stumble, you may get weary, and you may have moments when you question everything. But don’t allow what you’re going through to make you forget Who is carrying you through it.

The same Jesus who prayed for Peter is interceding for you. The same God who brought others through will see you through. Perhaps you need to read Psalm 105 to jog your memory.

Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep standing on His Word. Your story isn’t over, and your faith is worth fighting for.

Don’t faint before your due season arrives. Your harvest is on the way!

Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Be and stay blessed!
