Sin

Guest Poet Latoya Ryan

It starts so small a thought a grin
But grows a quiet creeping sin
Yet even chains we choose to wear
Can break beneath a humble prayer

A whisper born in shadow’s breath
A step that dances close to death
It cloaks the heart in veils of lies
And dims the light behind the eyes

Yet even chains we choose to bear
Can break beneath a humble prayer

We’d like to thank Ms. Ryan for such a beautiful poem. She has a website entitled mentalnotes1 with some very interesting and unique poetry.
