*Sunday’s Devotion

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. (Revelation 21:3 NKJV)

REVELATION 21 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: The thought that Almighty God would choose to make His home with humanity is both awe-inspiring and humbling. The above text is a remarkable promise, one we should hold dear to our hearts.

Throughout the scriptures, we see examples of His desire to be close to His people. In the Old Testament, Moses built the Tabernacle to host God’s presence. Later on, King Solomon erected the Temple as a permanent dwelling place for God. In both cases, these structures were physical representations of God’s desire to be close to His people. But in the New Testament, the concept of God dwelling with us takes on an entirely new meaning. Through Christ Jesus, God made it possible for us to have a personal relationship with Him. We no longer need a physical structure to house His presence because He now resides within us.

As we reflect on this sacred text, let us remember that God desires to dwell with us. He is not some distant deity who is concerned with our obedience. Instead, He wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives. He wants to be our friend, our guide, and our protector. He longs for us to draw near to Him and to experience His love and grace.

Prayer: Gracious God, we thank You for the promise of Your presence. We know that You desire to dwell with us, and we invite You to make Your home in our hearts. Help us to draw near to You each day and to experience the fullness of Your love and grace. May Your presence fill us and transform us, so that we may reflect Your glory to the world around us. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
