Silent Joy

The slider glass, a screen for quiet thought,
Where long minutes idly came and went, unwrought.
My gaze was fixed on nothing much at all,
Just waiting for the sunny day to call..

Then a stillness held the room, a gentle hush,
As shadows dissipated, without hurried rush.
The world outside, a blur of green and blue,
And time just seemed to drift into a faded hue.

Then, like a whisper, painted on the breeze,
A sudden tremor through the grassy reeds.
A flash of pure and sun-kissed, vibrant light,
A yellow butterfly, a joyful sight.

It dipped, it twirled, brought a blade of grass alive,
A silent promise that sweet joys revived.
And in that fleeting flutter, light and free,
A gentle, welcomed smile bloomed on me.
