Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.
(Psalm 25:5 NKJV)

PSALM 25 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: In a world full of noise, distraction, and competing claims of “truth,” the words of the psalmist are a quiet prayer for a seeking heart. This timeless prayer is for anyone at a crossroads, navigating uncertainty, or weary of trying to control every outcome. When we feel lost or confused, we can turn to the ultimate source of wisdom and truth. Humbly ask God to lead you, and then trust in His timing and perfect plan.

By praying, “Lead me in Your truth and teach me,” we confess that we do not know all the right ways on our own. We acknowledge that God’s truth—His Word—is the only reliable standard for faith and practice.

“For You are the God of my salvation” serves as an anchor. It reminds us that our hope rests in God’s unchanging nature and power to save, not in our own ability to navigate life’s challenges.

To “wait all the day” is to cultivate a constant, active faith that trusts in God’s timing and provision, even when the answers are not immediate. This waiting is not passive but a patient hope that keeps our eyes fixed on Him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I confess that I often try to rely on my own understanding to navigate life. Today, I humble myself before You and pray, “Lead me in Your truth and teach me.” Help me to remember that You are the God of my salvation and that my hope is in You alone. Strengthen my heart as I wait on Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
