Heavenly Father,
You are our provider, our sustainer, and the source of every good and perfect gift. In a world that chases wealth and possessions, help us to chase only after You. Guard our hearts, Lord, from the illusion that money can satisfy what only You were meant to fill.
Teach us to be content, to hold loosely the things of this world, and to store up treasures in heaven rather than here on earth. Let not gold or gain take Your place on the throne of our hearts. Strip away our idols, and renew in us a deep hunger for Your Word and presence.
May our joy be in Your promises, not our possessions. May we use what we have to serve, not to impress—to give, not to hoard. Let our lives reflect Your generosity, not our greed.
Fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who had no place to lay His head, yet lacked nothing. Make us rich in love, rich in faith, rich in good works, and poor in pride and self-reliance.
Draw us close, Lord. Help us to live with open hands and open hearts, so that nothing—not wealth, not worry, not the world—can come between us and You. In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
May the Lord’s countenance and love forever shine upon you. Blessings and Peace!
