I don’t know about you, but October was a blur. That month came and went so fast, I’m wondering…Are we locked in a case of Tachysensia? You know, that rare medical condition, a person can experience a distortion of time and sound, making everything appear to be moving faster? Whatever the case, we are now 3 days into November, and I am scrambling just to get my typing fingers together!
When I woke up this morning, I found myself in a time warp because I forgot to set those clocks back for Daylight Saving Time!

Would you believe today is Give Someone A Dollar Day? This holiday takes place on November 3 every year. On this day, you can give a dollar to someone you know or someone you’ve never met. You can also give a dollar to anyone who appears to be in need or deserves it. Give Someone a Dollar Day is a reminder of the value of the dollar bill and the symbolic act of giving to others. It is a time to act on one of the most basic and often disregarded aspects of human nature — kindness.

For the consummate writer, November kicks off National Novel Writing Month! How’s that manuscript coming along? I’m closing in on another one entitled Inside The Mind Of A Christian Blogger. Although Thanksgiving Day will always be this month’s centerpiece. Would you believe there are 267 special days of awareness and observances? From Library and Information Services Month to National Peanut Butter Lovers Month, there’s something for everyone. To see the complete list, just take a slice of our pumpkin pie.
As we are making plans for that phenomenal meal and making sure that the turkey is basted just right, don’t forget about National Gratitude Month. We all need to take a step back and reflect on how blessed we are to be able to sit down at a dinner table anywhere and have a delectable feast. There are some in this world who are not as fortunate. Pray for them as you bless your dinner table.
A Little November Trivia. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) launched the world’s first regular high-definition public television service on November 2, 1936. Transmitting from Alexandra Palace in London, the inaugural two-hour broadcast included a variety show, newsreels, and a documentary
May the crisp air clear your mind, and the golden leaves remind you of change’s beauty. May warmth find you in quiet moments, and gratitude fill your days like harvest light. May peace settle gently around you, as the year’s end draws near in grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Happy New Month!
