Now living in a motel of misfits with his fiancee’ Jessie (Nicole Anderson). He is working as a bartender in a night club called the Inferno where he is starting to learn from the school of hard knocks; all that looks good is not always for your good.
I’ve always been a fan of the underdog. You know, the one who looks like they’ll never get out of trouble? Or better still, shall I say I love a happy ending.
Sometimes we have to go through precarious situations to see just how blessed we are. One of the hardest lessons to learn is when you compromise the word for the world you can end up in some pretty sticky situations.
The Book of Revelations warns us of this very thing: “I know your works you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:15-16)
In the movie Lukewarm, we find a young man Luke Rogers, who as a child, came from a strong Christian foundation and broken marriage. Luke has a broken heart full of old memories of times spent with his father, Bill (John Schneider) and unforgiveness for that same father. Luke has backed up from his Christian walk into a life of compromise—turning his head from the truth, while still trying to do the right thing.
He is living in a motel of misfits with his fiancee’ Jessie (Nicole Anderson). Working as a bartender in a night club called the Inferno, he is starting to learn from the school of hard knocks; all that looks good is not always for your good. While his business partner Sam (Jason Burkey) tries to convince him otherwise.
However, his neighbor (Bill Cobbs) through true Christian discipleship and perserverance; with the aid of a caring pastor and a praying congregation, manage to steer him back onto the road of faith, forgiveness and redemption.
This is truly an inspirational story that teaches us no matter how far from God you think you’ve gone His arms are never to short to bring you back home. For He is also married to the backslider. (Jeremiah 3:14)
Originally released in 2012, Lukewarm can be seen on Amazon Prime, Hulu and the Dove Channel. We give this movie two thumbs up and five stars. If you feel like all hope is lost this is the move to see.
A walking miracle---her spiritual journey began at seven years old, when she was baptized by the late, Pastor K.L. Moore, Jr., of the First Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky, her birthplace. Very thankful for her spiritual upbringing which gave her a strong foundation and a respect for the word of God. Which now affords her the opportunity to share His word with others and testify about His saving her from leukemia.
She is the mother of six, a cancer survivor, pastor, and previous newspaper editor. Has published articles in The Voice In The Wilderness Magazine and a poem published in Great Poems of the Western World. She along with her husband, Elder Bobby Leach, live in Land O Lakes, Florida.
