…He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4 NKJV)
Thought for the Week: It is a blessed assurance that God the Father had chosen us before he created the worlds. He chose us from eternity to be saved by His Son because He loves us that much. We are adopted in Him through santification and justification. Therefore, you cannot separate a life of holiness from the election of grace. Whatever purity found in us is a gift from God given us through His mercy in choosing us. God did not choose us because we were holy. No, He chose us because at the end of our reformation we will be holy. Being clothed in the righteousness of Christ with all truth and sincerity.
Prayer: Dear God: I humbly come before you today, in appreciation for all that you have done for me. Thank you Jesus, for your sacrifice; so that I may be reconciled with God and set free from the bondage of sin. Thank you for enduring so much suffering on my behalf. I pray I will have the same kind of strength to endure life for your sake. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
