I read something quite interesting on Instagram that I would like to share. The word integrity is reminiscent of how, as a child, I was taught that your word carried a lot of weight, and without that truth, there was no truth. When one thinks of leaders, that title runs from your house to the schoolhouse, to the church house, then globally. Integrity is not what you talk about having, but what you walk about having…
“Living a life of integrity begins with valuing character over riches and power, recognizing that as God’s creation, all people are on a level playing field, and foreseeing with humility and a healthy fear of the Lord. When we know who we are and to whom we belong (God), then we pay better attention to the leaking faucets. Proverbs provide wisdom for those of us who want to grow in awareness.” Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. (Proverbs 10:9 ESV)
How important a part do you think integrity plays in our moral character today?
