Have you ever wrestled with an issue to the point you felt like you were on the wrong end of the mat? Well I’ve been trying for weeks now, to figure out what is the root issue of my frustration. Oh we sometimes find frustration in the midst of daily life and at times, unforeseen circumstances. But the root cause of it—where does it come from? For me, it’s the lack of accomplishment. What I’ve noticed is when I’ve accomplished certain things at the beginning of my day my frustration level decreases immensely. The decrease is so noticeable that when I am faced with other tasks, whether on my radar or not, my whole countenance is different. For example, this morning before I got out of bed I read my Bible verse, prayed, then headed for my office and did a movie review for the Movie Review Section. Did some other things on my To Do List and then went in to prepare Bobby for the day. Despite what was negative in the environment it was not even on my frustrationometer at all!

The word teaches us…“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV)

Here is a prayer we hope will help you find and defeat your source of frustration.

Father, I can see in Your Word that even You were angry at times. I know that I am created in Your image and that emotions are a part of who I am. I recognize that being upset and letting it get the best of me is not what You want for me.

I don’t want to wander away from You because I allowed my feelings to take over. I want You to be lead by You. Holy Spirit, please help me to remove that spirit of anger from my life. With Your supernatural deliverance, I can be set free from being upset. I can step into a place of peace and quiet.

Please calm me down right now. I cast my cares on You. I release any negative feeling that is within my soul right now. Frustration does not dominate me because I am free in Christ! Bitterness has no place in my heart or in my life to any degree.

I put my foot down and I stand on Your Word. I am making a choice right here and now to walk in love. I choose to let love rule my heart, in Jesus Name. Amen.
