Peggy I am so glad you enjoyed this post. And thank you so much for stopping by. Be and stay…

This past Monday, I had to go to the UPS Store to drop off a package I was sending to our eldest son in Texas. But when it came time to pay I looked in my purse and my wallet wasn’t there. It had been one of those days calamity seemed to be at our door… Bobbie had somehow managed to get a plastic grape lodged atop two bottom molars causing him to constantly clear his throat which caused some concern. The dentist we went to did not do anesthesia so he referred us to another dentist who did do anesthesia but could not see us for a couple of days—which in this case would not work. Then I called his doctor’s office who suggested we go to the hospital ER or a walk-in clinic where we might be able to get some assistance. So in between all of this, getting those packages to the UPS store was also on the list.
I ran into the back of someone’s brand-new car.

Needless to say, in anxiousness to get to the house, pick up my wallet, and get Bob from the nurse to the ER, I ran into the back of someone’s brand-new car. Thank God there was no physical damage to either, but the gentleman kept saying “This is a brand new car and it looks like there is a scratch on the bumper! His wife got out of the car at which point I was a bit shaken up and in tears. I explained to her what was happening with us and she looked at me and said, “Jesus loves you.” She went to her husband and talked with him. When she came back to our car I asked if I could speak with him for a moment. She beaconed him—he came over and asked me what happened. I told him I thought he was pulling out and apologized for hitting his pretty new car. He said “take a breath, be careful before you try driving home, and watch the red lights. His wife again, said, “Jesus loves you and He is with you.” They didn’t call the police, they said not to worry about it and she said “Consider this an early Christmas present.” They both got back into their car and drove off. All I could say was “Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Lord!
And when I finally got back on the road I heard a voice say “The same way they showed you mercy do likewise.”
Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. (Luke 6:36 NKJV)
So, in this Christmas Season remember, that a merciful God sent His only Son into this world for you and me. And because of Jesus’ love for us, we now have the blessing of salvation.
