Christmas comes but once a year
to bring the world all hope and cheer

Not just for the gifts beneath the tree
but the precious gift of a Saviour for you and me

Christmas could never be without Christ in it
Happy Holidays! is a nice palatable tenet

But gradually phasing out Christ’s name
will never extinguish His eternal flame

For the foundation of this celebration
Is established on God’s gift of salvation

That was given to each and every one
by the birth of His only begotten Son

So let us not in haste forget the true reason
we celebrate this Christmas season

As you unwrap all of your gifts and smile…
Please remember it’s because of one Holy Child.
