I used to be the kind of person that was so concerned about others’ opinions of me that I lost myself in their thoughts. Until one day I realized. People do not have a Heaven or Hades to put you in. The more I got into God’s word the more I began to realize whose opinion was the most important of all. And in the process began finding myself as it pertains to the kingdom of God and not of man. Too often we worry about others’ opinions but at the end of the day, I am reminded of how Job had to pray for his friends because they’d given him bad advice. (Job 42:7-10 NKJV)

The Bible teaches us  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 NKJV)

Here is a prayer we hope will help you on your journey…

Dear Lord, if I am doing anything against Your will and thoughts for my life, help me to stop them and focus on how to please You alone. I desire to please You alone; I want to stop pleasing the world; I don’t want to go by their words concerning my life anymore. Therefore, help me stick to You alone and do everything according to Your will for my life today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
