As I’ve often shared with our readers my desk is filled with post-its, stickies, and pieces of paper all over the place. It’s much like a library of thoughts and tonight I am looking at something written on the back of a piece of paper torn from my Garfield and Odie tablet entitled ALL Things Begin and End With God. With the word ALL being underlined. I don’t know where this is going but I am depending on my Father’s direction to relate whatever He has for my readers.

Genesis Chapter 1 verse one begins with… In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. verses 26-28 reads…Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Genesis 2:7 reads…And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.  Genesis 2:21 – And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

In pain you shall bring forth children

And after their fall in Eden To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.” (Genesis 3:16)

Jeremiah 1:5a further explains procreation… “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” Psalm 139:13-16a continues For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

Then Job reiterates on man’s existence...“Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. He comes forth like a flower and fades away; He flees like a shadow and does not continue.” (Job 14:1-2 NKJV) James further expounds…whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. (James 4:14 NKJV) Solomon concludes…For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets. (Ecclesiastes 12:5c NKJV)Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:7 NKJV)

“Who has performed and done it, Calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, the Lord, am the first; And with the last I am He.’ ” (Isaiah 41:4)

So you see dear reader ALL things do begin and end with God.

May the Blessings of the LORD be with you today and always. Thank you for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
