No matter how unpleasant, conflicts are part of daily life. Whether we are facing conflicts between nations, violence between different societal factions, strife within our families, or spiritual conflicts within ourselves, we all desire peace. The Apostle Paul speaks of conflicts on this wise: For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. (2 Corinthians 7:5 NKJV)

Here is a prayer we hope with help no matter the conflict…

Lord when I examine the conflict in my life, I see my selfishness. Help me to lay down my agenda and see You so that I may be an agent of peace with my neighbors. I also ask that You would grant wisdom to the world’s leaders. Please convict their hearts and turn them away from their ambitions that lead to war and suffering. May your peace last forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.
