The Gift Of A Mother’s Love

Just one day marked upon the year,
For her, who dried each falling tear.
The constant star, a guiding light,
Always present, day and night.

With love abundant, freely given,
A trusting embrace, a slice of heaven.
When shadows fell and worries grew,
A smile she brought, skies turned anew.

An unspoken word, a gentle hand,
To help us rise and understand.
Life’s path we trod, with carefree stride,
Knowing she walked there, by our side.

A note of love, within our lunch,
Her tender touch, a soothing hunch,
On itchy skin, a cooling balm,
Protecting us from any harm.

A kiss upon the fevered brow,
Completing us, she knows somehow.
Through thick and thin, her steadfast grace,
A constant presence, in time and space.

Silent prayers, she sends above,
Shielding us with endless love,
From every worry, every fear,
Whispering comfort, ever near.

One day feels meager to repay,
All she has done, along the way.
So take these kisses, hugs so tight,
Happy Mother’s Day, and shining light
