Guest Poet Paul Purday
How long, O Lord, will nations rage?
How long, will they blaspheme your Name?
And all your righteousness defame?
To spread the spirit of the age?
But God has set apart for Him
the Godly, who will cause Him joy
His work, that nothing can destroy
To light a path that once was dim.
Our anger at ungodly things
is right, but must not lead to sin
But in His Grace we enter in
Where in our hearts His gladness brings.
Despite the conflict that we see
His patient Word we still would keep
We will lie down in peace and sleep
For trust will set our spirits free.
We’d like to thank Mr. Purday for this beautiful poem.
