Heavenly Father, I come before You, acknowledging my tendency to fall into the trap of self-pity. Forgive me for dwelling on my misfortunes, comparing my journey to others, and allowing bitterness to take root in my heart. Lord, when I feel overlooked, weary, or defeated, lift my eyes to the cross.
Please strengthen me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may take every negative thought captive. Instead of focusing on what I lack or what feels unfair, cultivate a spirit of gratitude within me. Remind me of Your unfailing love, and help me to see myself as You see me—fearfully and wonderfully made, and deeply cherished.
When I am tempted to ask, “Why me?”, shift my heart to ask, “How can I serve?” Fill me with Your compassion so that I can look past my own circumstances and be a blessing to others. Give me the grace to surrender my burdens to You, knowing that You work all things together for my good.
Thank You for Your endless patience, Your grace, and the hope I have in You. May Your joy be my strength today and always. In the matchless name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
