The Vault Of The Mind

All of these characters and scenarios are floating about in my head, and I’ve got to figure out a way to orchestrate their existence through these computer keys…Whether they be in a book, on canvas, or on the movie screen, which is also a canvas…Sometimes I can see the enigmatic characters creeping out of the shadows of my mind into a place of fantasy, mystery, or thriller.

Your mind is a vault where creativity seeks the right sequential combinations to unlock it, so thoughts may flow like a river that replenishes the deserts of readers’ minds, depending on where they are in a specific moment in time.

Some of us write from a sad place. Some of us write from a place of hurt. Some of us write from a place of joy. Some of us write from a place of experience. Some of us write from a place of unity. Some of us write from a place of abstinence. And some of us write from a place of fear. But in all of those places where the mind has its full functionality, creativity always manages, somehow, to find its way.

I’ve come to find that great minds do think alike, just not on the same levels. And because your book is not yet published by some famous publishing house does not mean you’re not a great writer. Because your painting has not yet been hung in a famous art gallery does not mean you’re not a great artist. Because your movie script has not been picked up by a well-known production company does not mean you’re not a great screenwriter. Because that poem you’ve written that you hold close to your heart has not received accolades does not mean you’re not a great poet.

Greatness does not lie in the opinions of others. It lies in your ability to transform your thoughts, your experiences, and your imagination into the purpose that was uniquely gifted to you.

Occasionally, I find myself in this wonderland of thought where only certain creative forces can join me in a relatively general conversation about the creative wonder known as the mind.

So celebrate the creative you with all ebullience and thank God for the day!

Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
