PSALM 44 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: In a world where truth seems to be based on what we can see and hold, faith is still based on what we hear. From the psalmist comes the words, “We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what deeds you performed in their days, in the days of old.”

This isn’t just a history lesson – but more than that, it’s a testimony. We didn’t learn these stories about God’s goodness just so we can have some dusty stories – they are living testimonies that the God who was at work then is at work now.

In these moments of doubt, we cling to what we’ve “heard”-from Scripture, from others, from our own experience of God in the past. We stand firm by the stories, and memories, that assure us His power, His love, and His promises have not changed.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unchanging nature. Thank You for the testimonies of Your power and grace that have been passed down through generations. When my faith feels small, help me remember the mighty deeds You have done in days of old. Give me the courage and intentionality to share my own stories of Your faithfulness so that others may know and trust in Your name. Amen.
