Dearest Readers: Last Sunday evening I had the book launch party for my new book, “Inside the Mind of a Christian Blogger. Let me first say that preparation for this event, which started last month, was quite an adventure. At the onset there were so many snags I was sure my magic carpet was going to come undone. But the one thing this whole deal taught me was that when you are following God’s instructions, it will always turn out alright!
This is the one time, I must confess, that AI was a big help. Although I already had a theme — really didn’t know how to put it all together. AI gave me everything from the type of drink to what finger foods complimented the cake. Not to mention, I had a phenomenal team of people working behind the scenes to make this book release party a successs. But without the guests showing up all the preparations would not have mattered.

About 20+ people showed up…Everybody from new friends to my next door neighbor and her family. After a brief meet and greet. The guest indulged on real good food that was supplied by my youngest daughter’s friend, Shaniska Alexander, who, as a birthday gift, did it for me. Everything from pinwheels to croissants stuffed with chicken—everyone seemed to enjoy the food and we got more than one compliment on the mock cocktail I created from Langers Blue Raspberry Punch and Canada Dry Ginger Ale.

Then I gave a brief introduction about the book which is a compilation of posts I’ve written through the years. In a way I guess one could say, that you all were a part of this book’s creation. Because I used the blog posts with the most “likes.” So I would like to say “Thank You” to my loyal readers and supporters through the years who also made this possible. Then I read an excerpt from the book entitled “A Short Lesson On Mercy.” As I read this particular post it was somewhat emotional for me because memories of my late husband Bobbie were woven through the story. But by God’s grace I got through it alright.

All in all we had a beautiful time. And that saying “Teamwork makes the dream work” is definitely true! At least it held true in this case. To all of those who helped organize it: Minister Senita Wright, my goddaughter Christine Clemmerson, Apostle Alicia Thomas, Prophetess Linda Morena, and Shaniska Alexander, whose catering was excellent! Also, thank you to all who did not find it robbery to come out and support me. I cannot leave out my next-door neighbor Michelle and Fam. Also, thank you, Donna, for the beautiful flowers. You have always been a support for me through the years. Again, thank you all.
“Inside the Mind of a Christian Blogger” can be purchased on Amazon. Thank you for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
