When the British invasion hit America’s shores The Beatles were the first to touchdown at the airport. I remember seeing the movie Help! at the Capitol Theater downtown in Frankfort, Ky. The building is no longer there, but the memories still linger.
The other morning I flipped the Disney+ Channel to Let It Be and the introductory song, of course, was “Let It Be.” Which by the way was the song where Paul McCartney announced the breakup of the Fab Four. As I have been pondering those lyrics for the last couple of days it occurred to me…sometimes you just have to let it be.
Some of you are probably wondering what this writer means in that statement. In reflecting on what the Apostle Paul wrote…”If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” (Romans 12:18-19 KJV)
If you are in the season of your life where people are trying to make you feel lesser than who you are — let it be. If someone has betrayed you — let it be. If someone is trying to keep you from your destiny — let it be. If someone slanders your name — let it be. If someone bears false witness against you — let it be. If someone hates you without a cause — just let it be.
You see dear readers…All of these things happened to Jesus but they didn’t keep him from fulfilling His purpose.
Never allow the actions of others to distract you from the purpose God has placed on your life. You cannot control what people say or do, but you can control how you respond. Let God fight your battles, vindicate your name, and order your steps. Remember, letting it be doesn’t mean you are weak; it means you trust God enough to surrender what is beyond your control.
Sometimes you have to let people talk, let situations unfold, and let God have the final say. In other words, just let it be.
Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Be and stay blessed!

I say this often to my wife ….. “Let it be, and then say a prayer of thanks!”
Life is too short for these games and battles that others want to play!
Life is too short indeed my friend. You and I are on the same page. A place of peace is where we need to be and stay. We can’t focus on nor hear the things of God if we are always absorbed with nonsense. Have a blessed new week!
