Rhemalogy

And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:13-15)

Thought For The Week: Spiritual warfare is real. There are dark powers at work. Darkness, sin, and death are real. However, when Jesus Christ triumphed on the cross, he took away their power. His death and resurrection are victorious over the powers of sin and darkness. We can live freely knowing the grave could not hold our Savior and we will have eternal life when we place our faith in him.

Prayer: Dear God, we know there is evil in the world but we know You have conquered it. Hallelujah! We praise your Holy name, O Lord. You are the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. Sin has no power over You. Thank You for sending Your son, Jesus Christ, to be our savior. He defeated death and darkness so that we may live free of the bondage of sin. Help me to live my life in celebration of this victory and freedom. In Jesus’ name, amen.
