Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. (Acts 3:19 NIV) To repent means to have a change of heart and with acknowledging our sins must come a change in our behavior. Otherwise, the repentance is not true. If we are not being changed when the Holy Spirit is present, we must examine ourselves and truly search our hearts. We need to truly have a change of heart which, in turn, will help us to change our behavior. But this we must do with total accountability. Then, and only then, in this conversion, can we be refreshed and renewed by the Holy Spirit and God’s Word. If we are leaving the House of God and reverting back to our same old ways we really need to sincerely pray.

Father:
I am sorry for all of my sins and repent of them all. I give you my life today, and confess my faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ, that He is Lord. I believe that Jesus died and was resurrected to give eternal life. I confess my faith to Him, and I accept Him as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
