God’s mercies never come to an end
For each new day, they yet begin
With a chance to get things right
The things important in His sight
Blessings we did not earn
Yet each day, a new lesson is learned
How to be more like the Creator
instead of an actor in a theater
On a stage that everybody sees
Roles we play just to be
More like our counterparts
As He purifies our hearts
To walk His path so righteous and true
As we step into each day anew!
