Part 3

Last week I informed our readers we would design a strategy by knowing the tactics of the different tribes or enemies that would keeps us from our Promised Land or destinies. There are six spirits you must fight to see your Promised Land. They are the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. (Exodus 3:7-8) And according to the scriptures your blessings are in their homeland. One thing I learned in battle strategy was when you are on the enemy’s turf they have the advantage. So, you must learn as much about them and their turf as you can in order to come out victoriously.

The word “Canaanite” means a trafficker, a peddler of humiliation. The Canaanite spirit deals with money and how it can betray you. The Canaanite spirit will attack you every chance it can get. if we let up on righteousness and pureness of heart. When the Holy Spirit came into Jesus, the devil wanted Jesus to use the “anointing” for fleshly purposes. But each time the devil approached him with another temptation Jesus used the word…For it is written… That is why the scriptures teach us Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. (Psalm 119:11) You must study to show yourself approved unto God so you will know how to deflect these different attacks on different fronts and like Jesus you will be able to say with a surety. “For it is written man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)

The Hittite spirit is the spirit of extreme fear of the unknown. It works with the Girgashite spirit to perfect ts works. When the Girgashite spirit has destroyed your spiritual sight and vision through faithlessness, you can no longer see what the great and good God is doing or saying. You then fall back to your sensual mind and begin to work by physical sight of what you hear and see from news media and news peddlers in your environment. The consequence is that fear then grips your heart, worries set in and you soon forget that faith does not work by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7); for it is written, the just must live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4 and Hebrews 10:38)  This spirit keeps a lot of Christians from seeing their purpose and their Promise Land. You must Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) But in order to have this ability you must be built up in the most Holy faith. (Jude 1:20)

The word “Amorite” means to speak against and to boast of self. Every person has at some time in his life been bothered by the speech of another, passing on gossip, saying the wrong thing or just a careless and thoughtless word. The Amorite spirit seduces believers to sin and encourages others to talk them down. For it is written Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?  He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah (Psalm 24:3-6) And the Apostle Paul further clarifies. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8) You must have a made up mind that is totally sold out for the Kingdom of God. Never leave home without your helmet of salvation, which is a very intricate part of your armor. (Ephesians 6:17)

Next week tune in for the remaining terrible three and the conclusion. Thank you for your readership and continued support. Blessings and Peace.
