Ten days ago I was sitting at my work desk — it was about 9 am. I kept hearing. words to this song—“Hold on don’t you ever let go let my Jesus lead I guarantee you He knows. The roads get rough—the going gets tough and the hills are hard to climb.”
As children of God, at times we find our lives a bit confusing and discouraging. We are just at wit’s end or as the elders used to say, “You don’t know if you’re coming or going!” Sometimes the troubles in our lives turn into what seems like impossible hills not only to climb but just to stay the daily course. Pain is not discriminatory—it doesn’t care what your name is or what your address is.

What do you do when your life is broken into so many pieces there doesn’t seem enough glue or answers to put it all back right? When no matter where you look there are no concrete or consoling answers. You are like a puzzle piece that doesn’t fit anywhere. You feel like Humpty Dumpty…all the king’s horses and all the king’s men can’t put it back together again. But being an eternal optimist I believe it depends on who the King is…
Paul alludes to this King… which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. (I Timothy 6:15-16 NKJV)
“Lo I am with you always even until the end of the world.”

The good news is that this King knows our comings and goings and His plan for our lives. (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV) Even when we can’t see through the haze of confusion and discouragement this King has a resounding “Lo I am with you always even until the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:20 NKJV))
There can’t be a more inarguable statement than that! The thought alone, no matter how dark and dreary our paths may get should be a resounding promise that remains a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths,
So, whatever you do…Don’t feel down, don’t look down, and don’t let anyone put you down! Just lift your eyes to the hills from which comes your help. Look to Calvary’s cross…
And always remember to hold on and don’t ever let go of your faith. Nothing is ever lost in the Kingdom of God and nothing is ever lost to the King! (John 17:20-24 NKJV)
