Part I

No matter who you are in God or how long you’ve been in Christ, there is always the imminent danger of our minds being influenced by the world negatively. That is why the apostle Paul wrote,  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 NKJV)

As children of God, we are in a constant battle — the mind is our battlefield. The desire for transformation, renewing our minds, places us in a battle where Satan constantly wages war. But the blindspots that try to distract us if obedient and prayerful can be absolved through Christ (Philippians 4:13 NKJV) who, when He sees this battle can reverse your mindset and divert it to divine thoughts, again, the apostle writes—“ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8 NKJV)

We must always seek and set…

In other words, many things get into our minds to distract us from God’s purpose. This earth is where the prince of the power of the air abides. (Ephesians 2:1-2 NKJV) Therefore, the Lord has to declare to us where we are and remind us of the divine power and authority we walk in because we are risen with Christ. We must always seek and set our spiritual side according to His word. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)

As soon as you start moving in God, just before He opens another door—here comes more distractions. You have to put your mind under subjection and remind yourself you are risen in Christ by lending your mind to God’s will and His word. If you can set your mind to the purpose of God, He will give you power over your mind through faith in the Spirit.
