“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV)

Friday morning I was in worship and in the midst the above question came—Did You Get The Memo? There was this vision in my mind… Did you ever notice that you can walk into a room of total darkness—turn on the light switch and the entire room is filled with that light. Same thing with a lamp—despite its size—the room is lit. And even a candle when lighted not only lights a space but sheds an illuminating glow.
And that same candle, depending on its size, if put under a basket will eventually burn that basket up. So today what is this writer saying? Whether you consider yourself the light switch, lamp, or candle. No matter how darkness tries to overtake this planet so long as the light of the Lord shines within each and every one of us humanity will always be able to find He who is the light of the world (John 8:12 NKJV) to give God the glory!
Did you get the memo?
Thank you all so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
